Frater Adsum Iterum was born in the industrial heartlands of the US and learned very early the "his kind ain't welcome hereabouts" by which it is to be understood that Frater A. showed certain intellectual tendencies at an early age. Graduating from school ahead of his class, he left for Eastern New Mexico University where, under the fully transparent pretense of studying anthropology, he proceeded to drop one class after another, being far too interested in the ordinary wonders of life (alcohol, drugs, sex, painting, & magick, in about that order) to apply himself adequately to an academic environment.
Alas, he could not utterly avoid institutions of higher learning as that would quickly curtail his monthly Survivor's Benefits check from Social Security, so he indulged himself in the luxury of travel, sampling one school after another until the government well ran dry. Having developed no useful work skills beyond pumping gas and changing tires, he promptly became homeless.
This had the effect of neatly reversing the priority of his earlier interests to: magick, painting, sex, drugs & alcohol. As the paraphernalia and tools of the artist occupied too much space in the shopping cart, the painting interest was forced to change to other modes of creative expression, namely writing and music.
In due course, Frater A. stepped off a freight train in his current location and found such a magickal community of right-minded folks, that he vowed to establish himself forthwith and has lived there until this day (going on 21 years now), enjoying success in marketing, luthiery and retail merchandising. Reaching the advanced age of 35, he married a lovely woman, a Reiki Master,Yoga and Qi Guong Instructor, and they lived in a sort of turbulent bliss with their 5 cats and flock of ducks for 10 years, parting amicably.

Frater A's magickal education began at the age of 13, where he began to experiment with an assortment of spells found in a popular book about witchcraft. Some years later, he eventually ran into the emerging Neo-Pagan movement in a general sense, becoming involved in the fledgling Church of All Worlds, specifically. This brought him into extended contact with a great variety of magickal teachers, some quite good and yet others where it can best be said thet he learned by avoiding their examples.
Eventually, Frater A's life would settle enough that he could spare time and other resources to perfect his craft. He studied much of the material then associated with the Golden Dawn, the O.T.O. and eventually stumbled onto Llewellyn's publications detailing the rites of the Aurum Solis--order of the sacred word. Finding himself truly at home after years of exhausted study, Frater A. took up the practices of this organization with scarcely a glimmer of hope of actually joining them in any official capacity. Sometimes a glimmer is enough, for he was initiated into the 1st Hall at the House of the Winged Serpent on the 19th of May, 2001 and was known as Adsum Iterum.
Two years later, he was inducted in to the 2nd Hall , where he is known as Auxilior Arti.
Frater Auxilior Arti.("I facilitate the Arts") is a (founding)
member of the O.U.O.-The Prime Lodge of The Companions of the Glyph, is
an initiate of the Ordo Astrum Sophiae (formerly the House of the
Winghed Serpent, Aurum Solis), a member of the Citadel of Ouroborous
and is the author of many of the rites so casually revealed on the Companions of the Glyph website, and is the Designated Scribe of The Book of the Glyph, and Praxis: The Second Book of the Glyph,
two documents detailing the work of the prime lodge of the Companions,
the first title under the nom d' plume of his previous motto: Adsum Iterum.
During a particularly harrowing passage of his life, Fr. A.A.
had the opportunity to converse with that Divine Spirit who guides his
personal journey, and from that conversation he came away with the
clear conviction illustrated by his motto. He began his career of Music
and Lutherie, while enjoining his search for a worthy home in which to
practice it. He found it soon enough, founding Orphic Airs,
a consortion of artists working at the craft of musical instrument
manufacture. He actively assists others in expressing themselves
through the arts in every way he can contrive whether that be in
marketing his own music and that of others or his 6-year stint as the
soundman for a jazz fusion band.
